Puttapathi Sai Baba was born on 23-11-1926 in puttaparthi village in Anathapur Dist
His Real name was sai narayana.

The followers of the world-renowned spiritual leader, Satya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi, heaved a sigh of relief on Saturday when the doctors attending to him declared that his condition was stable. Sai Baba had trouble breathing on Friday night, and was put on a supportive respiratory device, said Dr. A N Safaya, Director, Sathya Sai Institute Of Higher Medical Sciences.

He recently join in his hospital on march 2011

“Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is no more with us physically. He left his earthly body on April 24, 2011 at 7:40 AM due to cardio-respiratory failure,”

He passsed away on day i.e.,24-04-2011
His body kept in puttaparthi for 2 days
